We're delighted to be on this extraordinary journey in such fine company and to be weaving our responses as artists, together and apart.

We're currently finding out more about the writer, the man, the Muslim and his wife, Muriel, who followed him in his quest.

We've been focusing on 1913 and his 4 month stay in Istanbul , charted in his book With the Turk in Wartime. This time in his life placed him very much on the wrong side of history.

Tracing his journey nearly 100 years after his time spent there has been deeply moving. Mohammed Marmaduke's story is still so relevant today.
